overview of mytraveldocuments

you are always advised to take photocopies of all your documents and keep them on you while you travel - just in case your real documents get stolen… but isn't it quite likely that you will lose everything in a robbery?

hopefully this will not happen but say you've been robbed, you don't have your document copies, you can't remember who your travel insurance is with, you can't remember which credit cards you have taken with you on your 6 month trip... you now need to waste half a day and money on expensive calls back home trying to figure everything out... and that's before you can get round to cancelling things and ordering new ones. Nightmare!

this is always going to be a horrible situation but it can be made somewhat easier

mytraveldocuments provides you with a place to store your critical emergency information as well as images of documents so that you have the information in one place and accessible from an internet cafe whilst you are travelling

we can't stop the bad stuff from happening, its one of the risks of travel but we can at least take the sting out of the experience... think of us as a kind of first aid kit for the journey - just in case

mytravelcompanion recommends that you set your mytraveldocuments and PocketPal up before you travel so that you have all your information in place ready to go

of course, if that information changes whilst you are travelling, you can come in and change it (and even order new cards if you need to)

note, although the upload of your data is encrypted using SSL technology, we strongly advise you only to leave enough information here to help you in the case of an emergency

we advise against recording your full credit or debit card details or other identifying information that could be used for i.d. fraud or other malicious purposes

under no circumstances should you record your credit or debit card pin number(s) on the site
